After completing the educational training, Texas Watershed Stewards will be able to:
- Continue learning about and engaging in watershed stewardship, through local continuing education and volunteer opportunities.
- Continue providing leadership and service in your community.
- Support watershed groups with similar goals.
- Serve as a point of contact for community members seeking assistance and refer people to Texas AgriLife Extension Service, local supporting agencies, and watershed groups for reference materials, training, and assistance.
- Provide the public with research-based information on watersheds.
- Work with local governments or other public agencies in watershed-related management.
- Conserve water in your home, business, and community.
- Institute best management practices in your home or business to improve water quality in your communities.
- Participate in volunteer stream restoration efforts.
- Serve in leadership positions on local stakeholder groups
