After completing the educational training, Texas Watershed Stewards will be able to:

• Continue learning about and engaging in watershed stewardship, through local continuing education and volunteer opportunities.
• Continue providing leadership and service in your community.
• Support watershed groups with similar goals.
• Serve as a point of contact for community members seeking assistance and refer people to Texas AgriLife Extension Service, local supporting agencies, and watershed groups for reference materials, training, and assistance.
• Provide the public with research-based information on watersheds.
• Work with local governments or other public agencies in watershed-related management.
• Conserve water in your home, business, and community.
• Institute best management practices in your home or business to improve water quality in your communities.
• Participate in volunteer stream restoration efforts.
• Serve in leadership positions on local stakeholder groups
